10:00 am - 11:00 am                 Welcome Back Tufted Puffins Event with two classes from Cannon Beach Elementary School.  Local school children will gather on
                                                       the beach with a special banner  and activities to welcome the returning tufted puffins to their breeding sites on Haystack Rock.
                                                       All  are welcome!

10:00 am to 2:00 pm               Cannon Beach Shreds! at the public parking lot in Midtown Cannon Beach, Hemlock and Gower Streets.  There is a $3.00 fee per
                                                     legal sized box for businesses, individuals are asked for donations, and non-profits and Twelve Days of Earth Day sponsors may
                                                     shred for free.

12:15 pm - 4:15 pm                  Haystack Rock Awareness Program volunteers on the beach

1:00 pm - 4:00 pm                     Marine Debris Cleanup sponsored by Sea Turtles Forever, with the help of Pacific Northwest College of Art students. This clean-up
                                                       features the use of a revolutionary static charged beach filtration system that can remove micro plastic debris down to the size of
                                                       a white blood cell from the sand!  Meet at Cannon Beach Community Hall, 2nd and Spruce. Anyone may join in, and equipment
                                                       will be provided.

6:00 pm - 8:00 pm                     Community Potluck and Gaylord Nelson Award Presentation, with a special showing of the video "Sandcastle" by Pacific
                                                       Northwest College of Art students, Cannon Beach Community Hall, 2nd and Spruce

Time                                        Saturday, April 20
11:00 am - 2:00 pm                 Pet and People Walking Parade beginning at 3rd and Antler, ending at 1st and Hemlock, followed by Street Fair and Face Painting
                                                     at  US Bank on 1st and Hemlock. Anyone may join the parade!  Just meet at the staging area in the parking lot on 3rd and Antler at
                                                     10:45 am.  Featured at the Street Fair will be exhibits by the North Coast Wildlife Center, Western Oregon Waste, the Emergency
                                                      Preparedness Committee of the City of Cannon Beach, the Friends of the Cannon Beach Trail, Sea Turtles Forever, and many

2:00 pm - 4:00 pm                    Walk to the Old Growth Cedars in the Cannon Beach Forest Reserve.  Meet at the east end of Elk Creek Road, past the RV Park.
                                                      The hike is easy, with gentle inclines.  Hiking shoes or boots are recommended

                                                    Tree Planting by Cannon Beach Elementary School students on the Cannon Beach Trail.  The public are invited to observe, but the
                                                     planting is for the education and involvement of our local school children
